A tough climb that never really gets easy. Fairly sheltered in the beginning and also to a nice village.

A launching pad for the Col de la Colombière, the Col de Romme attacks without mercy at 11% from the very first kilometre. 800m of straight stretch before the first bend and you very quickly dominate Cluses in the pleasant shade of the forest in the middle of summer.
The gradients follow on from each other and don't calm down until the last kilometre with 7% all the same.
A fine climb with very little traffic, and the little fountain just before the Romme exit is a welcome sight before embarking on the next climb!

From start to finish, a steep climb that only flattens out a few percentages in the village of Nancy-sur-Cluses. A quiet climb with a good road surface. Find your rhythm from the beginning and keep it up until the top is very well possible. Enjoy the views during the climb and at the end you can even spot the top of the Colombière!

Struggling on the last 4 km. Very steep pieces but very quiet in terms of traffic, views are beautiful on the way and at the top.

Afzien op de laatste 4 km. Flink steile stukken maar zeer rustig qua verkeer, uitzicht is onderweg en boven schitterend.

At the start of Cluses, after only a few hundred easy meters, a wall stands in front of your wheels, the road condition is excellent.
After only 1 km you have an impressive view of the torrent below and the town of Cluses. Most of the climb is done in the shade of the trees, except for the last third.
The slope is very steep almost all the way up to the village of Romme with alternating percentages above 10 % and around 8 % , the average % of 8.8 attests to the difficulty, the only moment of respite is a little before the village of Nancy/cluses for about 500M, after the crossing ( very brief) the slope resumes right away with high percentages.
The crossing of the village Romme/Cluses is almost flat and followed by a small steep descent, passing in front of the church and a 90° turn to the left, (be careful, it is surprising), a fountain of fresh water just on the right hand side.
After Romme, the slope resumes with slopes that have nothing to do with those climbed, there are about 2 kms of climbing until the altitude 1325M.
I didn't see any sign indicating a pass, besides the Michelin map doesn't give any indication except the altitude of the village, but this very nice climb is worth a good little pass.
Have a good ride and be careful.
