It was better than I'd imagined. First of all, the route is pretty good, notwithstanding the last kilometre to the Puy Saint Vincent 1800 resort.
The views, while not breathtaking, are still very harmonious. And the resort isn't the ugliest in the area. This day, it was deserted. There were still a few patches of snow. The climb goes well. It's never very painful. I really enjoyed it.
In any case, in my opinion, in the category of winter sports resorts, it's no less interesting than Les Orres.
A nice climb. Starts pretty hard (especially if you start cold at the bottom), but fortunately after a few kilometres it flattens out a bit so you can catch your breath. After Puy st. Vincent, the last part from Puy 1600 is not very beautiful. You cycle through the ski villages. View is beautiful on the surrounding mountains.
In terms of steepness, also quite doable, with here and there some rather steep bits.
Actually a very nice climb. Quite steep up to 1400 and after 1600 and occasionally a nice view, but there is much nicer stuff around. Furthermore, the road is very quiet. This is one of my standard training rounds.
Nice climb to do if you only have a short time or just want to cycle.
Tight asphalt. After the signs continue to climb to the end of the road. Descend via Valloise.
Afdalen via valloise.
