A climb like so many in this region. Relatively quiet in terms of traffic, you climb via a wide road up to the ski resort. Since you can not further is nice and fast descent!
The climb is the same as Pipay's up to about km 12 (see comments on this last climb), but about 3 km shorter. Apart from that, the main difference is at the finish line: the ski resort of Prapoutel is much bigger and more developed (1970s style, so "factory"...) than Pipay, and also offers some activities in summer, such as mountain biking, and of course more possibilities for eating and lodging.
As a reminder, the ski resorts of Pipay, Prapoutel and le Pleynet (on the other side of the Belledonne massif) make up the Sept-Laux ski resort, the most developed of the Belledonne massif.
