I avoid this ascent due to the very heavy traffic - the road has three lanes in places; the surface is very good, but cars show no consideration. At the top, it's worth taking a break at the Platte hunting lodge. I recommend the alternative ascent from Sonnenberg through the forest.
Ich meide diesen Anstieg aufgrund des sehr starken Verkehrs - die Straße ist teils dreispurig; der Belag ist sehr gut, aber Autos nehmen keine Rücksicht. Oben lohnt sich eine Pause am Jagdschloss Platte. Ich empfehle den alternativen Anstieg von Sonnenberg durch den Wald.
