The first section follows the same route as the ascent to the Col de Solaison, but takes a right in the 3rd hairpin and then follows a small mountain road towards Plateau d'Andey. It's here where the road conditions degrade a bit, but they remain good enough to have a secluded and enjoyable ride to the summit. After reaching the top, things get worse when starting the descent. Downhill, a stretch of 1-2 km of rough gravel awaits you, with further poor road conditions down the road. Combined with steep gradients, the flight down requires your full focus and is not really fun.
