Did the climb in combination with the ascent of Salto del Perro from Lomo Galeon, as it is not possible to cycle from Taurito over the GC-500 to Puerto de Mogán for the time being, so it was not possible for me to start over the GC-200.
Lots of nice road surface, but a few km bad on flat stretches. Superb scenery, views and greenery to cycle through, including the forest near the top and then the well-deserved views!
A beautiful climb with, especially after Mogan, stunning hairpin turns and spectacular views. From Cruz de San Antonio to Ayacata very poor road surface. In Ayacata you can get some refuelling to cover the last difficult kilometres to the Pico.
From Ayacata it also got noticeably colder, so best to bring some extra clothing.
A lovely climb, and really not that hard. My climb was spoiled by bad weather at the top (3C and rain), so be sure to check the forecast and take appropriate gear. But really superb.
This is the most beautiful climb of the pico.
The piece from the village of Mogan is really beautiful and you're treated to several hairpin turns and beautiful views. I'm myself climbed to Ayacata and then back via San Bartolome down.
