This is an easier ascent to Passo Caldarola, considering that it starts a bit higher up in theVal Trebbia at Mezzano Scotti. I usually enjoy it descending from the pass since it has great views and quite a few nice turns, but it is also great as a climb, especially if you are coming back from a trip to the higher part of theVal Trebbia. The road is well maintained and the traffic is usually light.
