The first part of the climb is not so special. The second part of the climb more than makes up for that. Magnificent views and the lake along the way is also really beautiful. It is a disadvantage that it is really crowded in the summer months. Thousands of people are on this mountain in all kinds of different forms of transport. Despite that, I found it a wonderful climb. Actually 4.5 stars :p

Eigenlijk 4,5 ster :p

After a wonderful descent from the Lavaze to Birchabruck with a refreshment in the village on to the Costalunga.
With the Pordoi and the Rolle one of the most beautiful climbs I have done in the Dolomites. When rolling on the beautiful tarmac you enjoy the scenery. After Nova Levante the valley opens up and the background pulls you through the steep part. A few turns later you turn to the right and you see the view on photo 1 in full before you. For me from oh to ah I must say.
Along the Karersee where the water gives some refreshment and just continue to the top where you can enjoy a snack and a drink in a real ski village. Even with snow, this seems a paradise on earth, at least on the bike for sure.
If you have descended you have the tendency to turn around and go back.... It is that beautiful on this climb.
