Cima Campo is one of my absolute favourite climbs for its variety of difficulty, scenery and lack of traffic, and it is an ascent that should not be underestimated because it is very long and has several false flanks that make it difficult.
Going up from Arsiè it is about 18km from Primolano, 20km, so not exactly a few, and the first asperity is encountered immediately after the cemetery before arriving at the locality of Mellame, where you go into double figures, then it flattens out for a while to become heavier just before the locality of Rivai, which in Veneto means "arrived" but which is not the case.
From here onwards we enter dense woodland which still shows the wounds of Vaia but which is recovering quickly and the gradients are between 6 and 8 until the last kilometre before col Perer where we climb in double figures, here there is the last drinking fountain of the climb and we are about 7km from the summit. Climbing further, the gradients become more docile 6/8% and gradually the panorama opens up until we reach a falsopiano which gives us a breather after the long climb until we are about 1.5km from the summit, where the last challenging crampons await us and then we can enjoy the view. Height 1440 metres.
So, in conclusion, it is a very enjoyable climb, but not to be done with your girlfriend/boyfriend who has just come out of the shop with her bike and has never cycled before, so bring your tools and what you need because there is not a soul to be found, and stock up on water at the fountains a few kilometres after Mellame and at Col Perer in the square, because there is nothing to be found up to the summit.
Have fun

Buon divertimento
