The road is long and never-ending! The surface isn't good, but it's good enough for a road bike, and it's even more problematic for the descent than for the ascent. At the very top, you are blocked by the road, which turns into a path and there is no view. There is a view a little before the top of the climb, but it offers rare and beautiful views over the Chapelle valley and the Grand Goulet. You are sheltered by the trees for most of the way. For the area that is the Vercors, it's not worth a diversion given all the D+ you can do next door.
