Steep gradients are fairly rare in this area, which makes the Pampelonne climb interesting. It's a quiet, little-travelled road, but the setting is pleasant and the climb offers a lovely viewpoint in the first hairpin on the right. Far from being a must-do, I recommend it for your outings between the Tarn and Aveyron regions.
