Ascent through a residential area on acceptable tarmac. The climb becomes a little greener in the middle, but there are only views at the back. Nevertheless, it is not an easy climb, as the gradients are relatively high and uneven.
Incidentally, the road was not very busy when I was there.
If you start on Burgstraße, you can also tackle an additional 20 metres of elevation gain on cobblestones through Stolberg's old town.
Anstieg durch ein Wohngebiet auf akzeptablem Aspalt. In der Mitte wird der Anstieg zwar etwas grüner, Aussichten gibt es allerdings nur im Rücken. Klettertechnisch dennoch nicht einfach, da man es mit relativ hohen und ungleichmäßig Prozentsätzen zu tun hat.
Bei mir war die Straße im Übrigen wenig befahren.
Startet man an der Burgstraße kann man zusätzlich ca. 20 Höhenmeter auf Kopfsteinplaster durch die Stolberger Altstadt bewältigen.
Varied climb. It starts with a few easy hairpin bends (nice staircase for the pedestrians) after which the road goes up along the cemetery. Near the cemetery and a bit further on there are two clearly steeper parts (so the profile is right here). The other parts have a low percentage. The church, where the summit is located, is a good target in the second part. The tarmac is in good shape. However, the road is relatively busy.
Gevarieerde klim. Het begint met een paar relaxte haarspeldbochten (mooi trappenhuis voor de voetgangers) waarna de weg verder omhoog loopt langs de begraafplaats. Bij de begraafplaats en iets verderop zijn twee duidelijk steilere stukken te merken (het profiel klopt hier dus). De overige delen hebben een laag percentage. De kerk waar de top is, is in het tweede deel een goed mikpunt. Het asfalt is goed in orde. Wel is de weg relatief druk.
