quiet climb, tho a bit boring, through deep forest with some views down the valley in the last 3kms, opening up to small fields at top. the worst is the patches of gravel from km5 to km10 (the steeper section) which made descending tricky. mid section flat / downhill. steepest was maybe 13% very briefly, definitely no "20% for 100m" (not sure where that came from). cafe at the top was open.

I climbed in the autumn in bright sunshine from my home, the colours and landscapes are magnificent. We are not in the high mountains but the charm and calm are there. The climb after the village of Nistos is steep at the beginning and then softens to arrive at a final that makes the finish worthwhile.
Beautiful climb with long approach. The first part is the toughest. There is a lot of loose gravel on the road which can be dangerous in the descent. Because it is not a through road, there is little traffic. So you have to descend the same way back. You cycle between the mountains, but we have seen little of that because we rode the whole ascent in the clouds.
