Beautiful climb BUT not possible with a road bike because of the gravel and loose stones in the second part. I have done the climb with the mountain bike and it is also possible with a gravel bike. The climb is one in 2 parts. The first part is the road surface is very good and certainly not steep but halfway you have to turn right to drive to Montreal les Sources and there the road surface is very bad but very nice to cycle and a fantastic climb for a gravel or mountain bike.
There are short sections of over 15 % and the scenery is very beautiful. The road that runs parallel to the D205 has a very good road surface but less steep parts but also very irregular with regard to gradients.
I have catalogued it with 4 stars because it was so beautiful and challenging with my mountain bike and the steep second part hurts the legs especially with all 1000 altimeters in the legs. Not easy to find the right way because of the many turns.
