Cycling in the Aveyron is very nice anyway; good roads, very quiet, nice climbs (not too steep), compact (you can do many climbs in a round trip). From the river valley (Tarn, Dourdou, Sorgue) you climb to the plateaux of the Grand Causses (Ca 1100m); unrivalled. Montée le Truel is special for its length (one of the longer ones in the region), its evenness (a real runner) and its magisterial views over the Tarn valley.
