I am surprised to find this climb on the site, I live almost at the foot and never had the idea to climb up there.
Yesterday I mounted the tubeless wheels equipped with 28mm section tyres and this morning of 21 August 2022 I set off on an adventure because it is an adventure.
I confirm what was predictable, this climb is to be reserved for mountain bikes and Gravels because it is unmanageable with an ordinary road bike.
Of course I did it, but several times I had to put my feet down to pass very degraded sectors, the road is not maintained any more and damaged by the loggers (see photos).
No superb panorama except at the 6th km where one can see the valley and the lake of Grignon, if not one is in the trees permanently, vehicles 4*4 circulate while thinking that there is nobody and one almost mowed me in a lace whereas I was well on my right.
Ps: By VTT or Gravel you can go back down to Essert Blay by joining the road of Fouettaz.
