A very pretty climb with a variety of beautiful landscapes (gorges, plains, sheltered forest). A gentle, steady climb. The descent to Alleins is very beautiful. A pass that can be done in summer, as the road is relatively shaded. The road is in very good condition.... read more

A surprising climb close to the beautiful city of Salon de Provence. The starting point takes some searching. The climb itself has several faces. First, you drive between the blocks of houses to get a nice backdrop among the steep rocks a bit later. The last part in the centre, the road winds in many bends and twists to the end point. This last part is by far the steepest and challenging with some small fine cobbles and refuge hill. Quite a fun climb although the start does not suggest this and also relatively tough if you get a tight headwind like me today.
