Friendly meadow

This climb in the central Appenine region of Italy is very well known to local cyclists. Before the last and steepest part of the climb you pass Capracotta, a well-known touristic spot which attracts people from all over the world. It's also depicted in Ernest Hemingway's novel 'A Farewell to Arms'. The climb ends at Prato Gentile, which literally translates as 'friendly meadow'.
