Wonderful unknown climb. Wonderful views! Moderate road surface, but the views make up for everything! Jewel!!!
Prachtige onbekende klim. Prachtige uitzichten! Matig wegdek, maar het uitzicht maakt alles goed! Juweel!!!
Since we happened to be in the area, we drove up here and returned to Guillestre via Eygliers. The latter is a forest road with poor road surface.
The climb to the Fort is short but powerful. A fairly narrow road where you have to make sure you are in the right gear in time.
After this, the road keeps going up considerably even after you enter the gate. The road keeps going up until you reach the top of the Fort/Village. Nice to see if you are in the area.

Omdat we toevallig in de buurt waren hier omhoog gereden en via Eygliers terug gereden naar Guillestre. Dat laatste is een bosweg met slecht wegdek.
De klim naar het Fort is kort maar krachtig. Een redelijk smalle weg waar je even moet zorgen dat je tijdig in de juiste versnelling zit.
Hierna blijft de weg flink omhoog lopen zelfs nadat je de poort bent binnen gereden. De weg blijft oplopen tot je helemaal boven in het Fort/dorpje bent. Leuk om even te zien als je in de buurt bent.

After a steep climb and a few hairpin bends you are suddenly in front of a gate. After this you enter the fortress which appears to be a tourist attraction. The climb is definitely worth it.
Na een steile klim en een paar haarspeldbochten sta je plotseling voor een poort. Hierna kom je in het fort wat een toeristische attractie blijkt te zijn. De klim is zeker de moeite waard.
Nice climbing
Just do it if you are in the neighborhood. For example after col du Vars Risool or Ceilliac.
Is certainly steep but so short that you can not drive yourself over the head.
Leuk klimmen
Gewoon doen als je in de buurt bent. Bijvoorbeeld na col du Vars Risool of Ceilliac.
Is zeker steil maar dus danig kort dat je jezelf niet over de kop kan rijde.
What a climb this is! Even if you are not parked in the first turn, it is in the final. But it's amazingly beautiful and cycling through that gate looks like a passage in a fanatical book...
Wat een klim is dit zeg! Al sta je in de eerste bocht niet geparkeerd dan is het wel in de finale. Maar geweldig mooi en die poort door fietsen heeft iets weg van een passage in een fanatasy boek...
