Very fine side of this climb. Beautiful and much much quieter in the first section than the Arrieta side. Very nice, but relatively long. About 10km you have to count anyway. The last few km run parallel to the Arrieta side. And become slightly busier again. But then you end up among the rocks again, which finally provide the necessary coolness.

Very quiet in February even though it was half term. Road surface is still good since i last did it, really enjoyed doing this one again and would 100% recommend.

This was my first go at anything more than what the UK can provide. Top class road surface, 0 cars from Tabeysco until you reach the main road where the hair pins kick in. A few cars met during this section to the top, however all considerate and no issues. The climb itself is very easy to get a rhythm on, nothing too steep. A nice "rest bite" from the gradient at about 4.5km in as you cross the bridge allowing you to see where you've come from and take in the view. Just a note that the restaurant may seem tmepting but isn't the top of the climb (but it is the end of main strava segment) so keep going to the top then roll back down to refuel. The viewpoint requires either paid entry or to purchase something from the restaurant. Overall, one I want to come back from and get a better time on!
