On the way there you already have a good look at the hills you will be riding against. Steep percentages in the middle part which is rather exceptional for the region. At the end of the climb you can take a sharp right turn and continue to the real top of Merckeghem-mountain at the water tower.
Op weg erheen kijk je al even naar de heuvelrug waar je tegenop zult rijden. Steile percentages in het middendeel wat eerder uitzonderlijk is voor de streek. Op het einde van de klim kan je de bocht haaks rechts nemen en verder doortrekken tot de echte top van Merckeghem-berg aan de watertoren.
