Because of the gradient, I hesitated between Menador and Pannarotta. Chose Menador anyway and it wasn't too bad. Obviously steep gradients (16.3％ in Strava afterwards), but I was able to finish the climb in 1x. And the stories from the reviews are all true - beautiful climb! Pannarotta from Levico beautiful road surface until Passo de Compet lovely. Then less and end as said on barren car park.
Vanwege de stijgingspercentage getwijfeld tussen Menador en Pannarotta. Toch voor Menador gekozen en het viel me mee. Uiteraard stevige stijgingspercentages (16,3％ in Strava na afloop), maar ik kon de klim in 1x uitfietsen. En de verhalen uit de reviews kloppen allemaal - prachtige klim! Pannarotta vanuit Levico prachtig wegdek tot aan Passo de Compet heerlijk. Daarna minder en einde als gezegd op kale parkeerplaats.
Beautiful climb with rock faces and nice views. In the final kilometres regularly above 15％. Once at the top, I recommend descending via Gionghi, Carbonare, Pian dei Tradi and back to Caldonazzo. Beautiful descents, views and villages. Bring a light for the tunnel!
Mooie klim met rotswanden en mooie uitzichten. In de laatste kilometers regelmatig boven de 15％. Eenmaal boven adviseer ik je af te dalen via Gionghi, Carbonare, Pian dei Tradi en weer terug naar Caldonazzo. Mooie afdalingen, uitzichten en dorpjes. Lampje mee voor de tunnel!
Beautiful and tough climb with nice views of Lake Caldonazzo. Already at the start you climb into the double digits, but the devil is in the tail with a 12 per cent gradient. Fortunately, this climb involves fine road surface. Especially at the two narrow tunnels, watch out for oncoming traffic.
Prachtige en pittige beklimming met mooie uitzicht op het meer Caldonazzo. Al aan het begin klim je in de dubbele cijfers, maar het venijn zit in de staart met een helling van 12 procent. Gelukkig gaat deze beklimming over prima wegdek. Vooral bij de twee smalle tunneltjes even oppassen voor de tegenliggers.
Best climb in the Lago di Caldonazza area. It's a tough but beautiful climb with spectacular views over the lake and Valsugana Valley. Don't underestimate km 6, which pushes up to 15％.

Beautiful climb. One of the most beautiful and scenic climbs in the area. Fairly even apart from one km at 15 according to my cyclocomputer (the signs say 13). Stunning views of the valley and two fascinating tunnels

This Menador is one of the most beautiful climbs in the region in my opinion. This is because during the climb you can enjoy the most beautiful views of the region. During the climb, you cycle up along steep rock faces and through narrow tunnels. The percentages are doable, but it was quite hard in combination with the heat of the day. When you reach the top, the best thing is to turn right. Because then you descend through several small picturesque Italian mountain villages, and during the descent you also have to cycle up a few times. This was an extremely successful day on the bike for me and my father.
Deze Menador is een van de mooiste beklimmingen in de regio naar mijn mening. Dit komt omdat je tijdens de klim kan genieten van de prachtigste uitzichten over de regio. Tijdens de klim fiets je omhoog langs steile rotswanden en door smalle tunneltjes. De percentages zijn te doen, maar het was wel flink afzien in de combinatie met de hitte van die dag. Als je boven bent is het, het mooiste om rechtsaf te slaan. Want dan daal je af door verschillende kleine pittoreske Italiaanse bergdorpjes, en tijdens de afdaling moet je ook nog een paar keer omhoog fietsen. Dit was voor mij en mijn vader een uiterst geslaagde dag op de fiets.
Great area! Great route. Steady climb, which was also ridden in the Giro 2022. There were narrow tunnels and sometimes trucks / cars squeezing through the narrow road, but the view and also the following descent is one of the most beautiful insider tips.
Tolle Gegend! Tolle Strecke. Gleichmäßiger Anstieg, der auch beim Giro 2022 gefahren wurde. Es gab enge Tunnel und teils LKW / PKW die sich durch die enge Straße zwängen, aber die Aussicht und auch die folgende Abfahrt ist einer der schönsten Geheimtipps.

Prachtige beklimming. Echt een topper. Mooie uitzichten, tunnels, haarspeldbochten, stevige percentages, alles wat je wenst bij een goede klim. Doorrijden naar Passo Vezzena zeker aanrader. Die voel je nauwelijks meer. Mijn Garmin gaf overigens een aantal keer rond de 15 procent aan. Flink aanpoten dus.
Superb climb. The percentages are all quite manageable except for the end. Along the way, there is also a well where you can tap water. If you are in the area, do it.
Schitterende beklimming. De precentages zijn allemaal redelijk te doen behalve voor het einde. Onderweg heb je ook nog een waterput waar je water kan tappen. Als je in de buurt zeker doen.
Very cool climb, as already described you climb up pretty spectacular views and rock faces. The climb is steep but with the right gear it is definitely doable. I found it worthwhile to ride on to the passo vezzena. Suddenly, you are among the alpine meadows and there are some beautiful views towards the lakes. And you hardly feel those extra slightly uphill kilometres after this work.
This climb was also climbed in the Giro of 2022 in the 17th stage.
Erg gave klim, zoals al eerder beschreven klim je behoorlijk langs spectaculaire uitzichten en rotswanden omhoog. De klim is steil maar met juiste verzet zeker goed te doen. Ik vond het de moeite waard om door te rijden naar de passo vezzena. Ineens ben je dan tussen de alpenweides en er zijn nog een paar mooie vergezichten richting de meren. En die extra licht stijgende kilometers voel je na dit werk nauwelijks meer .
Deze klim werd overigens ook in Giro van 2022 beklommen in de 17e etappe.
Definitely a must if you are in the area for the views along the way. I drove up it via Caldonazzo and took the section to Levico and then climbed the Panarotta and Vetriolo. At the top there is not much to see, it is mainly on the way where you can enjoy the beautiful views over the Levico and Caldonazzo lake with the Panarotta in the background. Although I left fairly early there was some traffic on the way, nevertheless it is beautiful bike with tunnels and the necessary "Tornantes".
Zeker een aanrader als je in de buurt bent voor de uitzichten onderweg. Ik ben hem opgereden via Caldonazzo en afdeling naar Levico genomen om vervolgens de Panarotta en Vetriolo te beklimmen. Boven op de top is er weinig te zien, het is vooral onderweg waar je kan genieten van de prachtige zichten over de het Levico en Caldonazzo meer met op de achtergrond de Panarotta. Hoewel ik redelijk vroeg vertrokken van was er onderweg wel wat verkeer, desondanks is het prachtig fiets met tunneletjes en de nodige "Tornantes".
Nice climb with a few narrow passages and tunnels. There can be some traffic. If you are early it is not busy, later in the day (during my descent) it was a lot busier.
Descent is beautiful, nice tornado, but therefore not fast. Is also not a goal in itself, and safety above all, but really good can not leave.
Mooie beklimming met een paar smalle passages en tunneltjes. Daar kan wat verkeersdrukte ontstaan. Als je vroeg bent is het niet druk, later op de dag (tijdens mijn afdaling) was het al een stuk drukker.
Afdaling is mooi, mooie tornatante, maar daardoor ook niet snel. Is ook geen doel op zich, en veiligheid bovenal, maar echt lekker laten kan bijna niet.
This is really a climb to remember.
Had um 5 years ago once cycled. Last week I cycled it twice, once from Levico lake and once from Caldonazzo lake. First kilometers are therefore different but most beautiful part is exactly the same. Why is this climb so beautiful? 1. You drive a few kilometers along beautiful stone walls. 2. You drive through tunnels. 3. Very narrow parts with many tornantes, which is really cool. 4. The higher you come the more beautiful the view over the 2 lakes, amazingly beautiful. 5. Because it is a great achievement if you drive up in 1 time because it is steep. The second last kilometer is 12.2 percent steepness. Nevertheless, enjoy optima forma.
Dit is nou echt een beklimming die je bijblijft.
Had um 5 jaar geleden al een keer gefietst. Afgelopen week 2 keer gefietst, 1x vanaf Levico meer en 1x vanaf Caldonazzo meer. Eerste kilometers zijn daardoor anders maar mooiste gedeelte is precies hetzelfde. Waarom is deze klim zo mooi? 1. Je rijdt een paar kilometer pal langs schitterende stenen muren. 2. Je rijdt door tunneltjes. 3. Zeer smalle gedeeltes met veel tornantes, wat echt gaaf is. 4. Hoe hoger je komt des te mooier het uitzicht over de 2 meren, waanzinnig mooi. 5. Omdat het een puike prestatie is als je in 1 keer naar boven rijdt want steil is ie. De een na laatste kilometer is 12,2 procent steiging. Desondanks GENIETEN optima forma.
