As others have said this is a beautiful climb and very little traffic. Watch out for the left turn onto a smaller road at about 4km (there are arrows painted on the road which I noticed and rode straight past, before having to retrace my tracks and follow the original left turn up a steep ramp). Don’t be fooled by the 6.3％ avg, it is quite a tough climb - but definitely worth a detour to climb.
Beautiful but erratic climb. The gradients are anything but constant, there are quite a few steep bits to overcome before you reach the top (up to 19％ according to the sign at the foot). The road is reasonably good, but there are still regularly some small stones. Uphill they won't bother you, but in the descent you have to be careful, especially in the upper half (almost at the top there is also a gravel strip of several tens of metres). As there are only gravel roads at the top, there is indeed no traffic. I myself encountered 1 car on the entire climb and descent. Highly recommended!
Mooie, maar grillige klim. De stijgingspercentages zijn allesbehalve constant, er zijn een heel aantal steile stukjes te overwinnen vooraleer je boven bent (tot 19％ volgens het bordje aan de voet). De weg is redelijk goed, maar er liggen toch regelmatig wat kleine steentjes. Bergop zullen die je niet hinderen, maar in de afdaling is het toch opletten geblazen, vooral in de bovenste helft (bijna boven ligt trouwens ook een grindstrook van enkele tientallen meters). Aangezien er boven aan de top enkel gravelwegen liggen is er inderdaad geen verkeer. Ikzelf ben op de hele klim & afdaling 1 auto tegengekomen. Een aanrader!
In terms of traffic, the climb was indeed quiet. Just be careful at the junction after about 4km. You are tempted to follow the road number, but you have to turn left with the road uphill. The kilometre count of the road then starts again with 0.
Wat verkeer betreft inderdaad rustige klim. Alleen even uitkijken bij de splitsing na ongeveer 4km. Je bent geneigd het wegnummer te volgen, maar je moet links met de weg meebuigen omhoog. De kilometertelling van de weg begint dan ook weer met 0.
As others said, virtually no traffic, some very steep and short ramps, a small number of drainage waterways that can be slippery, a short gravel section, and no cell phone signal at least in the upper half. Not a road you will be able to descend at a high speed, either.
Beautifully quiet road. Virtually no traffic, the road leads nowhere. Good road surface, beautiful views. Due to the heat and capriciousness with steep sections quite tough. Definitely worthwhile!
Prachtig rustige weg. Vrijwel geen verkeer, de weg leidt nergens naar toe. Goed wegdek, prachtige uitzichten. Door de hitte en grilligheid met steile stukken behoorlijk stevig. Zeker de moeite waard!
Probably one of the best climbs to do in the region. The road leads to nothing, so apart from a few residents, there is hardly any traffic. Road surface is generally good, but just before the top there is suddenly a gravel strip. The small bridges for draining water can be extremely slippery when wet, so take care when descending.
Waarschijnlijk één van de beste beklimmingen om in de regio te doen. De weg leidt namelijk tot niets, dus op een paar bewoners na is er amper verkeer. Wegdek is over het algemeen goed, maar iets voor de top is ineens een gravelstrook. De bruggetjes voor de waterafvoer kunnen spekglad zijn bij water, dus oppassen in de afdaling.
Top climb through a beautiful canyon that runs from the coast inland. Some steep sections, also very popular with the local cyclists.
Topklim door een mooie canyon die vanuit de kust het binnenland inloopt. Paar stevige stijle stukjes, ook heel populair bij de lokale fietsers.
