Route wise, this one is neither fish nor fowl, i.e. it's not the obvious route from either of Berko or Hemel. As such you might expect it to be quieter than other options, and on the whole I think it is. However I don't use it much for the very same reasons, only when I want to ring the changes on my route selections. Route wise, this one is neither fish nor fowl, i.e. it's not the obvious route from either of Berko or Hemel. As such you might expect it to be quieter than other options, and on the whole I think it is. However I don't use it much for the very same reasons, only when I want to ring the changes on my route selections. But it has things going for it that make it different from Bullbeggars Lane, Pouchen End Lane etc, like the shallow dip part way up, and the views across the valley to the right. Worth going to look at. Not too challenging, but not unpleasant.
