The first section up to the Pont des Chèvres is relatively straightforward and very shady (and even cold in winter or in the morning!). After that, the slope gradually becomes steeper but is never excessive and even includes a few small flat areas. It's a rather long and tiring pass, however, on a road that doesn't always feel very good. The last kilometre has a steeper gradient than the rest, so make sure you keep your pedal to the metal or you'll be surprised. The view from the summit is well worth the diversions!
La première partie jusqu'au pont des chèvres est relativement simple et très ombragée (et même froide attention l'hiver ou le matin !). Ensuite la pente commence à s'accentuer petit à petit mais n'est jamais excessive et comprend même quelques petits replats. Un col cependant plutôt long et usant, sur une route qui ne rend pas toujours très très bien. Le dernier km présente une pente supérieur au reste donc attention d'en garder un peu sous la pédale au risque d'être surpris. La vue au sommet vaut le détour !
