The climb starts from Orcet, which is very busy. At rush hour, as everywhere around Clermont, you will find lots of traffic but the road is good. The crossing of Gergovie and its walls at over 15％ is complicated, but therein lies the only interest in this climb which, unlike other climbs in the area, does not offer grandiose scenery.
Le début de l'ascension se fait depuis Orcet, qui est très fréquenté. Aux heures de pointe, comme partout autour de Clermont, vous trouverez beaucoup de circulation mais la route est bonne. La traversée de Gergovie et ses murs à plus de 15％ est compliquée, mais là est le seul intérêt de cette montée qui, contrairement à d'autres ascensions dans le coin, n'offre pas de paysages grandioses.
