Highly recommended if you're in the area. Super steep, lots of hairpin turns, great views and still very steep!

The only downside, the bad and steep road you also have to cycle down again.

Many a cyclist, like me, rides through the gorge of the Guil with the view on the l'Izoard or Agnel. And with that we never pay attention to a turn to nowhere. Nothing? 18 hairpins over a distance of less than 3 km and with an altitude of 330 meters, this little climb over asphalt can't exactly be called 'nothing'. And really unique! Those 18 bends is handy to know because if you want to count them during the climb you will soon lose count. Puffing and pulling on your steering wheel on a murderous south facing slope with hardly any shade. And very steep. Every meter varying from 5 to 16 meters. So no time to count the turns, just hope you don't fall over when reaching for your water bottle. Perfect interval training for the early morning when it's still nice and cool and you want to be back around lunch time.
Tip: on the other side of this climb you can also add the climb to Bramousse. Less steep with more shadow and spectacular view on the just cycled road to Escoyères.
