With this climb, an editorial choice has clearly been made. If you calculate from a low point, it should actually start 6km earlier, in Raddon-et-Chapendu. From that place at the start of the valley, you grab over 100 altimeters before this Climbfinder version starts, pretty steady some 1.8-2%. Then follows this climb, which as far as I am concerned is only really a climb at two points, and otherwise an uphill road. Just after Rovillers is a kilometre of serious climbing (6% average, but also a stretch of double digits) and when you turn left a little later, you find yourself in the Ardennes. This is the stretch of road that leads to the hamlet of Les Blondots, and the road itself is called that (so not BlondoNs). Actually, this is 'the climb' what this is all about, as the road through the valley loops aside and is another 'own' climb that is, on balance, much longer. Do you still get it?

Anyway: short and sweet, this road Les Blondots you absolutely must have done once if you like Ardennes work. The road only drops below 10% in a few places and cows on the left and right look at you like you're crazy. Do it!

Doen!
