Not too difficult climb on the north side of Zegelsem. The first few hundred metres the gradient runs nicely. Even before you are halfway up the climb it flattens out and is false flat until the top.
Niet te moeilijke klim aan de noordkant van Zegelsem. De eerste paar honderd meter loopt het stijgingspercentage lekker door. Nog voor je halfverwege de klim bent vlakt het af en is het tot de top vals plat.
Classic but really nothing tricky about it. It can only be tricky if you break down on the Haaghoek. Course knowledge comes in handy here. Don't go full speed on Haaghoek, turn left, pedal well in the short downhill section and use your momentum optimally for the steep section and you'll be up in no time. Not difficult, but all in all fun to do.
Klassieker maar eigenlijk niets lastigs aan. Het kan enkel lastig zijn als je je kapot rijdt op de Haaghoek. Parcourskennis komt hier van pas. Haaghoek niet voluit gaan, links opdraaien, goed bijtrappen in het kort stukje bergaf en je momentum optimaal gebruiken voor het steile stukje en je bent zo boven. Niet lastig, maar al bij al leuk om te doen.
Nice little climb just after the cobblestone lanes of the Haaghoek. Very recognizable every time I cycle there. Small steep piece, easy to do.
Mooi klimmetje vlak na de Kasseistroken van de Haaghoek. Heel herkenbaar iedere keer dat ik er fiets. Klein steil stukje, goed te doen.
