As there was no terrace to be found in Saint-Apollinaire, we decided to include this short climb to Lac de Saint-Apollinaire.
A short fun climb that ends at a lake with a campsite and a nice terrace. Great road surface, not too crowded and if you are in the area nice to take and enjoy the peace and quiet at the top by the lake.
Omdat er in Saint-Apollinaire geen terras te vinden was hebben we besloten deze korte klim naar het Lac de Saint-Apollinaire mee te pakken.
Een korte leuke klim die eindigt bij een meer met een camping en een leuk terrasje. Prima wegdek, niet te druk en als je in de buurt bent leuk om mee te pakken en boven te genieten van de rust aan het meertje.
Once you've climbed up to Saint Apollinaire, which isn't exactly magical, it would be a shame not to continue on to the eponymous lake. The road is gentle and not too bad. The climb is pleasant. The lake isn't a marvel, but it's a pleasant place to stop. And the sculptor exhibiting his work is well worth the walk.
Une fois que l’on est monté à Saint Apollinaire, qui n’a rien de magique, ce serait dommage de ne pas poursuivre vers le lac éponyme. La route est douce et plutôt pas moche. L’ascension est agréable. Le lac n’est pas une merveille mais la halte est plaisante. Et puis ce sculpteur qui expose ses œuvres vaut bien la balade.
Beautiful mountain road through alpine meadows and a piece of forest to a small mountain lake. Magnificent views! You can get a well-deserved drink or ice cream.
Mooie bergweg door Alpenweiden en een stukje bos naar een klein bergmeertje. Schitterend uitzicht! Je kunt boven een welverdiend drankje of ijsje halen.
