Nice climb over first an asphalt road and then a narrow asphalt cycle path through the forest. The cycle path sometimes crosses the unpaved forest road running parallel to it so there may be sand on the path but it remains rideable. Several delightful bends that add extra cachet. Watch out for oncoming traffic, hikers and stray dogs.
Mooie klim over eerst een asfaltweggetje en daarna een smal asfaltfietspad door het bos. Het fietspad kruist soms de onverharde bosweg die er parallel aan loopt waardoor er zand op het pad kan liggen maar het blijft berijdbaar. Aantal heerlijke bochtjes die extra cachet geven. Wel opletten voor tegenliggers, wandelaars en idd loslopende honden.
Quite a steep climb for Dutch standards. The cycle path is a bit bumpy, but doable. Busy with other road users in the weekend.
Best nog wel een pittig klimmetje voor Hollandse begrippen. Het fietspad is wat hobbelig, maar best te doen. Wel druk met overige weggebruikers in het weekend.
This cycle path leads you through beautiful wooded surroundings. Unfortunately, the quality of the road surface is poor. At one point, the path crossed a dirt road and it was so bad that I had to stop. In terms of climbing feeling, you definitely have the idea that you are making some altitude metres. By the way, I did not see any stray dogs, but it is of course a snapshot.
Dit fietspad leidt je door een prachtige bosrijke omgeving. Helaas is de kwaliteit van het wegdek matig. Op een gegeven moment kruiste het pad een zandweggetje, hier lag het pad er dusdanig slecht bij dat ik af moest stappen. Qua klimgevoel heb je zeker het idee dat je wat hoogtemeters maakt. Overigens heb ik geen loslopende honden gezien, maar het is natuurlijk een momentopname.
A special climb on a narrow bicycle path winding through the forest and actually more fun than the parallel Grebbeberg.
Road surface is not that great and somehow there are always dogs running around loose, but that will be a coincidence.
Bijzondere klim over een smal fietspad slingerend door het bos en eigenlijk leuker dan de parallel gelegen Grebbeberg.
Wegdek is wel niet zo denderend en op de een of andere manier lopen er altijd honden los rond, maar dat zal wel toeval zijn.
