Typical Vosges in the sense that it is steep at the bottom and then flattens out to a plateau. This steep section is annoying because as well as being steep it is also extremely irregular so there is no rhythm. Super quiet, a few small hamlets and a nice way to cross from the valley of Saint Bresson to Val d'Ajol.
