Kuppelwieser Alm from Pracupola / Kuppelwies

Cycled up one of the many dead-end side climb roads starting on the long Ultendalklim.
After the turn-off (signpost Schwemmalm) you climb up past some farms via a few hairpin bends so that the Zoggler Stausee sinks below you in the panoramic view.
Once you turn into the pine forest on a narrow road, there is nothing residential. Winding road with occasional hairpin bends follows the mountain stream to eventually cycle past the Steinrast hut (supply -1723 hm).
The forest thins out and opens up so that above in your field of vision the grey dam of the Arzkarsee emerges at the end of the valley with snow-capped peaks behind it.
You fortunately don't have to go all the way up there but there is still tough (+10％) winding climbing with hairpin turns on poor road surface (asphalt gone/pits/stones/water gutters).
In early June 2024, it was also strewn with slush carried by meltwater of mud,branches and needles from the forest,which also made the descent back dangerous.
