Boring climb along the A-2 from Meerssen to Maastricht-Aachen Airport. Is an excellent runner and to take along if you want to head north (Elsloo/Ulestraten/Beek/etc.
Saaie klim langs de A-2 vanuit Meerssen naar Maastricht-Aachen Airport. Is een prima loper en mee te nemen als je richting het noorden (Elsloo/Ulestraten/Beek/etc. wil gaan.
Great runner on a bike street along the highway up. Because there is a "green belt" between highway and bike street you don't have as much trouble with the highway. Mainly straight road but at the parking lot there is a nice curve. Perfect asphalt. Sometimes nice view to the right.
Prima loper over een fietsstraat langs de snelweg omhoog. Omdat er een "groene gordel" zit tussen snelweg en fietsstraat heb je niet zo'n last van de snelweg. Grotendeels rechte weg maar bij de parkeerplaats is er een mooie slinger. Perfect asfalt. Soms aardig uitzicht naar rechts.
My "favorite" interval climb. Type of runner! Open section on your right leading up to the parking lot offers a nice view. From the viaduct to the top you can accelerate nicely if the legs will let you. Perfect asphalt.
Mijn "favoriete" interval beklimming. Type loper! Open stuk aan je rechterhand in de aanloop naar de parkeerplaats biedt een mooi uitzicht. Vanaf het viaduct tot de top kan je lekker versnellen als de benen dat toelaten. Perfect asfalt.
Boring climb along the motorway that never becomes challenging in terms of percentages. Also quite busy with traffic that drives fast.
Saaie klim langs de autosnelweg die nergens uitdagend wordt qua percentages. Ook nogal druk met verkeer dat er hard rijdt.
The climb is not too difficult.

At the top you can speed along the airport.
Or to the right and then take the descent to the Visweg.

Of naar rechts boven en dan de afdaling nemen naar o.a de Visweg.
Not too difficult an ascent, but worthwhile. A nice wide road with very good tarmac that unexpectedly runs exactly alongside a highway parking lot. That is funny
Geen al te lastige beklimming, wel de moeite waard. Een mooie brede weg met heel goed asfalt die onverwachts precies langs een snelweg parkeerplaats komt. Dat is wel grappig
For years the setting of the NK cycling and you feel it in the legs if you have 20 times in an afternoon.
But for the rest, this is a moderate climb. If a Boeing 747 takes off on top of the climb, you can consider that as the highlight of the climb.
Jarenlang het decor van het NK wielrennen en je voelt hem zeker in de benen als je hem 20x op moet in een middag.
Maar voor de rest is dit een matige klim. Zou er bovenop de top net een Boeing 747 opstijgen, dan mag je dat als hoogtepunt van de beklimming beschouwen.
