This is the classical way to do the Königsstuhl, and it is rather nice. The road surface is good. Until Waldhilsbach there is some traffic, afterwards the traffic is no problem. The climb is rather gradual up until a pinch towards Kohlhof. It then levels off for the last 1.5-2km, and finishes with a final ramp (which isn't ridden by everyone, as the observation platform and top end of the furnicular is often chosen as the end of the climb)... read more

This is the classical way to do the Königsstuhl, and it is rather nice. The road surface is good. Until Waldhilsbach there is some traffic, afterwards the traffic is no problem.

The climb is rather gradual up until a pinch towards Kohlhof. It then levels off for the last 1.5-2km, and finishes with a final ramp (which isn't ridden by everyone, as the observation platform and top end of the furnicular is often chosen as the end of the climb)
