I rode this climb in August 2021 and can recommend it without reservation. The asphalt is perfect, the incline relatively continuous and the reward is a great view of Heidelberg and the Neckar. If you start early enough, you will hardly encounter any cars and can stop in Heidelberg's old town at the end of the tour to replenish your glycogen stores with a breakfast. The climb can also be combined well with the "White Stone".
Ich bin diesen Anstieg im August 2021 gefahren und kann ihn uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Der Asphalt ist perfekt, die Steigung relativ kontinuierlich und zur Belohnung gibt es einen großartigen Ausblick auf Heidelberg und Neckar. Wer früh genug losfährt begegnet kaum Autos und kann am Ende der Tour in Heidelbergs Altstadt einkehren, um die Glykogenspeicher bei einem Frühstück aufzufüllen. Der Anstieg lässt sich auch gut mit dem "Weißen Stein" kombinieren.
