A beautiful climb especially near the coast, although not too good a road surface but certainly great fun to do

One of the longer climbs around Ruidenberg. Although the road surface does not bolt great, the wide track ensures that traffic is rarely a problem. At the top is a line, so perfect for a sprint with friends. You can also combine it nicely with some other uphill sections nearby.

Short slope with nice gradient for those who want to briefly test the legs.

Nice climb! Good to test the legs while you're in the area. Unfortunately short

Leuke beklimming!

If you want to do some inclines from the coast, the Wijnendale Plateau is a good option. The slope never gets really steep, so ideal for popping up with the big plateau. As the road is made of concrete slabs, it does not bolt as well. Therefore, I prefer other slope in this green area.

The Koekelareberg, better known as the Poggio of Koekelare, is a beautiful climb! You can start the climb from the Eikendreef or the Swytswal, but that doesn't really matter. When you hit the concrete and see a row of trees on both sides of the road, you know you've started, but the real tough part is still to come. First, you can warm up with 500 meters of false flat on the concrete, but once you have made the first right turn, it really starts! With a maximum percentage up to 8 percent, you can ride your training companions out of the wheel here in group training. Then it's another 300 meters of steep gradients until you see a white painted marker on the ground. If you want you can still sprint to the Diksmuide road, but the real part of the Poggio of Koekelare is already there. Really a short, but beautiful climb on a concrete track along a row of trees on your way to the finish (and the top of the climb) where you'll have a nice view on Koekelare!
