There are some nice views from the lower sections, before the bend, and after the bend you're into the village, but it's quite a nice village, even so.
This climb can be a useful connection from Bradenham to Chinnor, or across to Stokenchurch via Radnage, and it's a pleasant enough option. I don't think it's detouring to, but it's worth going that way instead of staying on the A4010.
