Nice climb a little off the Rursee, nice views and higher percentages for a longer period of time.
Netter Anstieg ein wenig abseits des Rursees, schöne Aussicht und höhere Prozente für einen längeren Zeitraum.

From Hammer, the road towards Grünentalerstrasse is steep, after half a kilometre you will encounter the first hairpin bend. The road is sheltered between a few trees, but after a while you have a wide view on your right over the Dreiborner Hochfläche. Beautiful scenes, and the slightly lower gradients make it a little easier to enjoy them. After the second hairpin bend, the route continues to flirt with the 6 percent mark, but at the third hairpin bend another 8 to 9 percent awaits. Save yourself a little here, because the wind can be relatively strong on top of the slope.
Zeer fijne én mooie klim op een boogscheut van Monschau!
Vanuit Hammer loopt de weg richting Grünentalerstrasse steil op, na een kleine halve kilometer kom je een eerste haarspeldbocht tegen. De weg ligt op deze strook beschut tussen enkele bomen, maar na een tijdje heb je langs je rechterkant een wijds uitzicht over de Dreiborner Hochfläche. Fraaie taferelen, en de iets lagere stijgingspercentages maken het iets gemakkelijker om ervan te genieten. Na de tweede haarspeldbocht blijft de weg flirten met de 6 procent, maar aan de derde haarspeldbocht wacht nog een "uitsmijter" van 8 à 9 procent. Spaar jezelf hier nog een beetje, want de wind kan bovenop de helling relatief hard waaien.
Lovely climb, quiet in traffic and good asphalt. Bit off 'the beaten track' , many cyclists stay close to the Ruhrsee.
Heerlijke klim, rustig qua verkeer en goed asfalt. Beetje van 'de gebaande paden' , veel wielrenners blijven dicht bij de Ruhrsee.

Beautiful hairpin bends in a forest on a good road surface. Are you out of the woods, then follows a straight piece to the village. Nice climb with good percentages, but not very steep.
Prachtige haarspeldbochten in een bos op een goed wegdek. Ben je het bos uit, dan volgt nog een recht stuk naar het dorp. Lekkere klim met goede stijgingspercentages, maar niet loeisteil.
