Nice hidden click from a valley. Ascent mostly through a forest so occasional nice shelter from the sun. Reasonable tarmac. Highly recommended!
Leuke verborgen klik vanuit een vallei. Beklimming grotendeels door een bos dus af en toe een lekkere beschutting tegen de zon. Redelijk asfalt. Een aanrader!
Nice short steep climb through the forest. The road is not too good. Especially in the stretch before the climb starts, you have to watch out for punctures.
Leuke korte steile klim door het bos. De weg is niet al te best. Zeker in het stuk voordat de klim begint is het oppassen voor lekke banden.
It's really beautiful! It's also my discovery of the Queyras before going on to do the real cols that hurt. I went there following Rogier's comments. The road is in bad condition but it's so pretty that you can forgive it. Guillestre Eygliers, then back to Guillestre. It's very quick and the view over the Guil valley is well worth it.
C’est très beau ! C’est aussi ma découverte du Queyras avant d’aller faire les vrais cols qui font mal. J’y suis allé en suivant les commentaires de Rogier. La route est en sale état mais elle est si mignonne qu’on lui pardonne. Guillestre Eygliers, puis le retour sur Guillestre. C’est très vite fait et la vue sur la vallée du Guil en vaut la peine.
Around Guillestre you can climb mythical cols but do not forget the gems like this climb. From Eygliers you can also go to the hamlet 'le Gros'. Beautiful tough climb and with the MBT you can from there even further into the mountains if you have a strong condition and good technique. You can also along the Guil downstream under the fortress Mont-Dauphin to a pedestrian bridge. This can also be done by road bike with some caution.
Rond Guillestre kan je mythische cols beklimmen maar vergeet inderdaad de pareltjes als deze klim niet. Vanuit Eygliers kan je ook naar het gehucht 'le Gros'. Mooie pittige klim en met de MBT kan je van daaruit nog verder de bergen in als je over een stevige conditie en goede techniek beschikt. Je kan langs de Guil ook stroomafwaarts onder de vesting Mont-Dauphin tot aan een voetgangers brug. Kan ook met de racefiets met enige voorzichtigheid.
Steep, quiet and beautiful. What a great climb this is. This is a nice way to avoid the busy road to Guillestre on the way to the Izoard, or do a nice round of walls. There is more than enough in the area.
Steil, rustig en mooi. Wat een geweldige klim is dit. Dit is een leuke manier om de drukke weg naar Guillestre te ontwijken op weg naar de Izoard, of een mooi rondje van muurtjes te doen. In de buurt ligt meer dan genoeg.
