From this side, the Great King's Belt is not much. I would not call it a real climb. However, you notice that it is constantly rising. I catch myself trying to keep on pedalling with too heavy a gear. In the end you ride here mainly to descend the Grote Koningsbelt on the steep side.
Van deze kant stelt de Grote Koningsbelt niet veel voor. Een echte klim zou ik het niet willen noemen. Wel merk je dat het continu iets stijgt. Ik betrap mezelf er hier op dan vaak op een te zwaar verzet door te willen blijven beuken. Uiteindelijk rijd je hier vooral om vervolgens de Grote Koningsbelt af te dalen aan de steile kant.
Once you've crossed the Holterberg mountain it runs into the Koningsbelt. Here too you can ride on two sides and make your round of the Sallands hills.
The view over the heathland remains beautiful, wide open that you're not really used to in this part of the Netherlands.
Als je de Holterberg over bent loopt hij gewoon door en over in de Koningsbelt. Ook hier van twee zijden op en af te rijden en zo je rondje Sallandsche heuvels maken.
Het uitzicht over het heide gebied blijft mooi, wijdse blik die je in dit deel van Nederland niet echt gewend bent.
