This and it's "twin" Aulon should best be avoided when it's scorching hot, as I found out for myself. The preceding Hourquette d'Ancizan (Payolle) probably weight in on it, but some stretches are insane and there is hardly a spot where you have some scenery, except at the parking at the top. Depending on when they've "renewed" the surface, the first few kilometers down can be/are a menace because of the gravel. Despite the "hidden gem" label, not worth the effort imho...
