Actually ended up on this climb by accident, wanted to do 'monument du poteau' which is right next to it...once I started I broke down pretty quickly, what a lout! I called it a kind of Redoute, front wheel off the ground. Dead end on the road bike unfortunately, that was the moment I only realised I was on the wrong climb (dunce)
Maybe it can be done further on the mtb or gravel bike through the forest above.
In the Vosges, if you like a real calf-biter, this is a nice one to take in.
Likewise 'monument du poteau' and 'petit Drumont', the latter is also a dead end and starts at the source of the Moselle.
Kwam eigenlijk per ongeluk op deze klim terecht, wilde ‘monument du poteau’ doen welke er vlak langs ligt…eenmaal er aan begonnen ging ik al vrij snel kapot, wat een huftertje! Ik noemde het een soort Redoute, voorwiel los van de grond. Op de racefiets doodlopend helaas, dat was het moment dat ik pas doorhad dat ik op de verkeerde klim zat (domkop)
Misschien is hij op de mtb of gravelbike verder te doen door het bos boven.
Als je van een echte kuitenbijter houdt is dit in de Vogezen een leuke om even mee te pakken.
Zo ook ‘monument du poteau’ en ‘petit Drumont’ deze laatste is ook doodlopend en start bij de bron van de Moezel
