Did this climb at the beginning of April. As it is a through-road, there is a lot of traffic. The beginning and middle part are not special, the last part is worthwhile. I descended to Wald im Pinzgau to climb on the other side, which is certainly the most beautiful and quiet part.

Especially the first part is quite busy, especially in the weekends. This is also the best part with hairpin turns and views towards the Zillertal, the climb is not too steep. The fairly long middle section to Gerlos can be quite daunting with a headwind, after Gerlos there is a final climb towards Konigsleiten. Here you can enjoy the peace and nature.
