To put it bluntly. The average gradient of a climb does not always say everything. As the profile shows, the climb is very irregular, making it difficult to find your rhythm. The climb itself is beautiful with nice views, but everything is spoiled by the very busy traffic and the bad road surface. This is a constant in this region. It is now the second time that I have been to Salzburgerland and for the second time, I do not feel safe as a cyclist here. When you get to the top, do make a diversion to Finkau. Magnificent views of the lake and the glaciers.
