A long climb, actually much longer than the climb is categorised. The road is wide and fairly quiet. Very difficult the climb is very definitely not. The best thing about this climb is that you cycle across the watershed. On one side all the water flows to the Mediterranean Sea, and on the other side it flows to the Atlantic Ocean. At the top, you come to a kind of plateau, the Gerbier de Jonc being an old volcano.
