The Gellenberg is located between the N2 ( state highway between Leuven and Diest ) and the center of Lubbeek.
If you leave the N2 to go to Lubbeek, halfway you suddenly encounter a rather steep ascending part that you feel more than it seems. Unfortunately, it is a busy road but the bike path is in good condition during the ascending part but closer to Lubbeek center it is not so good. But juust before Lubbeek you can turn right on the Waasberg which seems to me a nice narrow ascending road and is almost 1 km long but never really steep.
