First, it starts with a wall that we already know (Rue des Collets) and that stings just as much as the day before...
The ascent then continues on a badly damaged road that gradually deteriorates until you reach the dam construction site. Gravel, chippings, pebbles, potholes of all sizes, between which you have to zigzag. But it goes well.
Of course, I got my regulation puncture on the way down.
Up there, the silver mine, which is well worth a visit on the way down, and further on, the work around the dam.
I really enjoyed this ride.
It really makes a change from postcard landscapes.
Cranes, buckets, giant pipes, tractors, a dam, bombed-out construction huts! But also some lovely waterfalls and a raging torrent! A happy cocktail. Real life!
Don't forget to take everything you need to repair a puncture or two...

Just about on the road bike, but it's still going fine. But a very nice climb. With a gravel and good steering skills or with an MTB you can continue the climb to the Pousterle. Also a must.

Do not mistake the first wall of this climb directly above argentiere, it is very steep. VERY STEEP! You can also use a less steep road in the Fournel Valley if you prefer not to take a wall.
