Very nice climb, nice and steep and nicely shaded. Beautiful views of the gorge. Nice way to cycle from Guillestre towards the north.
Heel leuk klimmetje, lekker steil en mooi in de schaduw. Prachtig uitzicht op de gorge. Leuke manier om van Guillestre richting het noorden te fietsen.
Completely hidden between Guillestre and Mont Dauphin lies this quiet and beautiful climb. You have a great view on the rocks (and waterfall) of Rue des masques, on the fortress of Mont Dauphin and the road is steep, very steep. The steepest part is even 20％. This is another one of those great back roads where tens of thousands of cyclists pass every year on their way to Risoul, Vars or the Izoard. A pity. This is actually more beautiful, and you won't encounter any motorcycles or cars.
Compleet verstopt tussen Guillestre en Mont Dauphin ligt deze rustige en mooie klim. Je hebt een geweldig uitzicht op de rotsen (en waterval) van Rue des masques, op het fort van Mont Dauphin en de weg is steil, heel steil. Het steilste stukje tikt zelfs even de 20％ aan. Dit is weer een van die geweldige binnedoorwegen waar elk jaar tienduizenden wielrenners voorbij fietsen opweg naar Risoul, Vars of de Izoard. Jammer. Want eigenlijk is dit mooier, en je komt hier geen motor of auto tegen.
