You start via a small road from the centre and past the church and the slope immediately sets in nicely - and continues to do so when you get to the main road (very quiet, by the way) and leave the village. There follows a short flat stretch as you pass a stream and some houses, and then it starts going up quite a bit again and after the turn you walk up the rest of the climb even steeper until just before the forest edge where the summit is. In the last part, wide views backwards over the Moselle valley and Luxembourg opposite.
